The Regional Peterborough Gaming Society

Who & Where We Are

Welcome to the website of the Regional Peterborough Gaming Society, a Peterborough RPG club that has been role-playing and gaming in the area since 2004.

We meet regularly at the Millfield Community Centre on Lincoln Road every Thursday evening between 19:00 and 22:30 to play a variety of games and we always welcome new members. Our weekly fee is £1.50 for players but your first session is free if you would just like to pop along and try out a game.

If you would like more information on where we are or would like specific directions please drop us an email at rpgsclub@gmail.com

What We Play

Games are run in either one or two month rotations and the details of what is currently running can be found in the ‘Rotations‘ section.

We usually have 3-4 different games running each rotation which are announced in advance to allow players to express interest and sign up.

All of our games are suitable for new players and we do not expect any prior knowledge or experience of the system. We will always make the effort to fit you into a game, so don’t be afraid to come along, even if we are mid rotation.

Board Gaming & X-Wing

In addition to role-playing, we also run an additional night at the club dedicated to board games and the X-Wing miniatures game. This happens twice a month on the second and fourth Monday from 7pm and the cost is £1.50.

If you would like to join us just for some board games and are not interested in role-playing on a Thursday night that’s completely okay too.

Social Events

As well as gaming regularly the RPGS is a social group and frequently holds and subsidises social events where members and their families can get together outside of the club.

If you would like more information on when the next social event will be check out the Events area on our site and forum.

Library

To further support our members the club also owns a substantial library of games that it is willing to lend to players and GM’s alike to help them run their games.

If you would like information on what is available from the library or on any other topic in general feel free to drop us an email.

  1. Is this group still meeting? I’ve never played board based RPG games but have always held an interest in them and would like to meet other people with similar tastes.

    1. We have members that range from early 20’s all the way up to 50’s, from a wide range of backgrounds. There’s normally around 15-20 members on a Thursday night for roleplaying and around 5-6 for board gaming & x wing. We’re open to all members, so if you want to pop along and try it out and get a feel for the club feel free. We actually start a fresh round of games next Thursday. If you want any more info feel free to drop us an email at rpgsclub@gmail.com

  2. Hi, I would be very interested in coming to a meeting. Do you play dungeons and dragons as I used to play years ago and really miss it. Looking to meet like minded people. Thanks Steve

  3. Hi there,
My friend and I are both very interested in starting to play D&D and just wondered if we could come along some time and learn more?

    1. Hi there,

You are more than welcome to come along, we actually have D&D running this rotation of you are interested. The game started in January and runs until the end of February. We run every Thursday and start around 7:30pm.

If you’d like any more information please drop us an email at rpgsclub@gmail.com

Hopefully we’ll see the two of you soon!

  4. Hi,
Do you play any boardgames that only require one evening to complete? I.e. Not long story based roleplaying? E.g. Eclipse, Kemet, Pandemic ect.

    1. Hi there,

We currently have two separate evenings – Thursdays are for rpg’s and feature ongoing games. Mondays are for more traditional single evening boardgames – things like Pandemic, Lords of Waterdeep, Ticket to Ride, etc. We do occasionally have boardgames like Imperial Assault that are played over several Mondays in an ongoing campaign as well.

Our Monday night’s run on the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month, so the next one is on 12th June.

If you would like any more info, please drop us an email on rpgsclub@gmail.com
