They’d don’t know how long it’s been since then, what’s going on, or who all the others in the cart (the other PCs) are… and that’s where we kick off…

Heroquest in Glorantha

GM: Andy

Glorantha is a mythically rich fantasy setting which stretches back in to the dawn of role-playing. The world is inhabited with multiple cultures with different gods and myths (all of which are true and which also contradict each other). Oh and things like trolls – they are just another culture (as are ducks). Elves are like sentient plants, and dwarves are even more strange.

Heroquest is a simple and flexible system where the players have quite a strong narrative impact. It isn’t based on stats and skills but on keywords (which can be nearly anything you want). Heroquest Glorantha games typically have scenes in the physical world, and scenes set on a hero quest (when you try and recreate one of your myths to achieve an aim which will help you in the real world).

It will be set in and around New Pavis (a reasonable sized city) and the Big Rubble (the remains of the previous city from 800 years earlier). This gives players a wide choice of character types from a wide source of cultures – form Bison Riders to Pavisites to Orlanthi to Sun Domers to Lunars maybe even a non-human.

MegaTokyo sprawls in its massiveness, a landscape of concrete and steel designed to make the ideal living space for humans to exist alongside the technology they have created. One of the worlds new ‘Technologically Integrated Economic Cities’, MegaTokyo is split into separate zones that each fulfil one of the massive cities many needs.

A paradise for the future…one that was doomed to fail.

The city is a heaving mass of humanity and technology crammed into confines of concrete, Plexiglas and steel. A seething array of emotions, schemes, plots, counter plots and power that swells constantly like air being placed in balloon of gum. A balloon that will one day surely burst…. this is the Bubblegum Crisis that is MegaTokyo.

Legend Of The Five Rings

This will be a game of intrigue, contests, and emnity. There will be prizes to win and rivalry’s to either be established or ended. For these are the games of court.

Previously The group have managed to save the empire from the machinations of a supernatural cult that was trying to unmake reality. Now however it is the winter months and the season of court has begun. Due to some very influential friends that they have made they are actually in the capital this year to win further fame and glory for themselves and their clans. How difficult can it be to prosper there compared to surviving crazed assassins and mythical creatures…

This is a returning game but new people are able to join and are welcomed.

In our world, nothing of significance happened on August 13, 2002, at least nothing on the scale suffered by the rest of the Nearside. Instead, every August 13 since then, every Nearsider has suffered their own personal divergence event, an experience powerful enough to activate part of their brains known as the Hindbrain Anomaly (HbA) and change their lives forever, givng them one of 13 Meridian abilities.
